5 Tips for Packing for a Cruise
Are you getting ready for your first cruise? Get excited, because you’re about to have a blast. Celebrity cruises are a fantastic way to see a number of destination, all while enjoying the comfort and luxury of fine accommodation, food and entertainment. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Just make sure you follow these packing tips so you can enjoy your trip to the max:
Bring the Basics
Think about the things you need on a daily basis, and assume that you’ll have to provide that for yourself. An alarm clock, notebook, camera, anything that will make your trip more convenient and enjoyable. And don’t forget any important documents like passports if you’ll be leaving the country!
Bring Some Dressy Attire
While you can definitely kick back and relax on your cruise holiday, you’ll want to experience the fine dining and entertainment experiences as well. Many cruises put on formal dinner nights, so ladies can wear a nice dress while men usually dress in business attire. But don’t worry if its not your thing; there are always many options for dining each night, including more casual areas.
You never really know what toiletries will be available for you when you arrive to your cabin, so just assume you’ll need to bring whatever you want to use on your trip. You might have a small shampoo and conditioner, or your cabin might deck you out with everything from shaving cream to lotions and sprays. Just bring enough for the time you’ll be traveling.
You don’t want to be burdened down by super heavy bags on your cruise holiday. You can do laundry aboard, so consider that as an option. And anyway, you don’t need to bring your entire wardrobe for a cruise; think about your destination and pack for that. Beachy, formal, wherever you are headed is the way you should pack. And you want to leave room for souvenirs, right?! Bring an extra bag that can fit in your larger bag, to bring home treasures from all the places you visit. Bonus: many cruises offer you a bathrobe in your room so you definitely don’t need to bring that along!
Mix and Match
One easy strategy for packing light is to mix and match your clothes, creating many outfits out of just a few pieces. Bring a few tops and bottoms that will all match together in different ways. A scarf can dress up a simple top and create many new outfit combinations. Simple jewelry can do the same, so focus on accessories if you want to have a stellar look aboard.
